安装BIND时出错，怎么办

我下载了 BIND－9.2.1
OS是 Solaris9
执行./configure时出现错误如下：
checking whether make sets $[MAKE]...  ./configure:make:not found
no
checking for ranlib...:
check for a BSD compatible install... ./install -sh -c
check for ar... no
configure:error:
ar program not found. Please fix your PATH to include the directory in
which ar resides,or set AR in the environment with the full path to ar.

这是什么错误，必须要安装编译器吗？
