1.0 About Routing
This PSD documents a wide variety of information concerning routing as
implemented in the SunOS and Solaris operating systems. It is intended
as both an introduction to routing, and as a guide to the most common
problems. Routing can be a very complex subject, and this PSD can
really only skim the surface of it. If you are setting up a complex
routing environment, you will probably also want to refer to the more
complete references listed in Section 7.0.
For this discussion of routing, an understanding is needed of various
aspects of ROUTING, as well as NETMASKS. These are both covered below.
Solaris in.routed supports RIPv1 ( rip version 1).
RIPv2 is available in gated, gated is not SUPPORTED
